Charles Howard Kasbee, of Palm Beach Shores, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017, in Palm Beach Gardens. He was born in Sharon, PA on January 16, 1929. He celebrated his 88th birthday surrounded by family and friends a few weeks ago. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Archie Kasbee; brother, Ralph Kasbee; and sister, Helen Gindlesberger. He was the beloved husband of the late Irene Lucas Kasbee. He was a devoted father, to his three sons, Charles P. (Debbie) Kasbee, David (Carole) Kasbee, Richard (Karen) Kasbee; his daughter, Christy (Mark) Sullivan. He was the proud grandfather of Chuck, Joe, Kate, Allison, Richard, Kevin, Reed, Connor, Grant, and Sean. He was also the great-grandfather to Joe and Peyton. Chuck was a self made man. He started sweeping the floors at a shoe store at age 13. At the end of World War II, he joined the service at age 16. He finished high school through correspondence while serving in the United States Coast Guard in Puerto Rico. He graduated from Sharon High School in 1947. When he returned from the service, he went back to work at Nobil Shoe Company where he worked his way up to the Vice President which spanned a 42 year career. He sold Real Estate for Baird and Warner in Naperville, Illinois before retiring to Palm Beach Shores, Florida. Chuck was a member of several organizations including the Rotary and the Moose Club of Palm Beach Gardens. He served as an usher at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, North Palm Beach, Florida. Chuck patiently waited for the knock on the door from Publishers Clearing House. He was convinced the prize patrol were on their way. Chuck loved life and was the life of every party. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, North Palm Beach, with Rev. Fr. Thomas R. Lafreniere presiding.

Chuck will live forever in my memory as he was a great a guy that I ever knew. I will miss visiting you in Florida but the memories of you will never die.

My deepest sympathy to your family knowing your passing is a great loss.
